Rest as a competitive advantage

Your best ideas rarely come from working harder. They usually show up in the little moments…like when you're on the drive home, in the shower, or when you're doing something you fought to avoid because it was "boring".

We've been sold this idea that more hours equals more output. But brain work doesn't scale that way. You can't muscle your way to a better strategy.

Margin is where clarity lives. And to get margin you have to be willing to trust your team, trust the process, and be willing to release control long enough to step back.

If you can't take a walk in the middle of the day without stressing over what's not getting done, I would say you probably don't have a team problem, you have a leadership problem.

The leaders I see winning are the ones who learn to build margin into their workflow and don't feel guilty giving themselves the time to step back, think clearly, and let their team handle the work they were hired to handle.
