How AI can make us more human

Most people are scared AI will make us less human. I think the opposite is true.

The work that drains us, the busy work, the repetitive tasks, the formatting and the cleanup, that's the stuff that's been keeping us from the people in front of us. We've been so buried in the machine of work that we've forgotten the humans inside of it.

AI changes that.

When the tedious stuff gets handled, you finally have margin to actually lead. You can finally sit with a teammate who's struggling. You can ask better questions in your one-on-ones. You can celebrate the wins instead of skimming past them on your way to the next deadline.

Culture isn't built in a Teams message or a quarterly offsite. It's built in the small moments, the unhurried conversations, the times someone feels genuinely seen.

AI gives those moments back to us if we'll take them.

The real risk isn't that AI replaces us. The risk is that we won't see the opportunity to fill the time we get back with more of the right stuff.

Use the time well. That's where the relationships get built, and that's where culture actually grows.
